First Trip to the Park in 2011

We are dying for some warmer weather here. Saturday, it got up to a whopping 47 degrees. We decided to take Connor to see Chronicles of Narnia at the Malco. He was super excited. Well, when we got there, they only had it in 3D, and we knew he would not wear those glasses for 2 hours. So we left the theater and drove by the mall to see if the game room would be crowded, and could not even get a parking spot at the mall. Justin decided to take us to Ballard Park to let Connor play for a little while. Connor loved it but I was freezing. After about 15 minutes he slid down a slide and got his pants wet with water, so we had to leave. He was not happy about that. So we got him a nugget happy meal for McDonalds and went to Gan Gan and Papaw Larry's house for pizza. He loves to play with Heather and BJ, so he was fine with this plan.

Today was our first snow day of 2011. It started snowing last night, and this morning we had around 6-7 inches of snow. It was beautiful! Digestive Health was closed today and will be closed tomorrow. Six days home with my sweet boy. It's gonna be hard to go back Thursday. ICC was closed today as well as tomorrow. Justin didn't go to Fred's either. So, we had a family day out in the snow. We played out at Matt and Shanna's most of the day. Connor had a blast. Then Mamaw and Papaw Mike came over to play for a while. We have had the most fun day!

Connor's Beautiful White Christmas

Connor woke up to a beautiful surprise on his 3rd Christmas!
He is not sure what to think about it!

We woke up Christmas Day when Mike called Justin and told him to look outside, WOW! What a surprise we had! Justin and I have never had a white Christmas. The last year it snowed on Christmas was 1963! We woke Connor up and got him into some warm clothes and went outside to play. He threw about 5 snowballs and then started screaming, "my hands are burning, my hands are burning". So we did everything we could to warm them up, after about 15 minutes of holding them under water, he stopped crying. So much for the snow. Now, it was time to open presents, his favorite!

Connor's Shooting House

Connor's Papaw Mike worked very hard during the months preceding Chrismas to build him something very special. It was an AWESOME Shooting House. Now we can go hunting when it is too cold or even rainy. To say that Connor loves it would be an understatement.

Thanks Papaw Mike for such a wonderful gift.

Happy New Year

Justin and Connor Eating Connor and Mammaw Sue

We started off the New Year by going to Mammaw Sue and Pappaw Tommy's house for our annual black eyed peas and hog jowl lunch. Justin, me, Connor, Mom, Dad, Heather, BJ, Mammaw, Pappaw, Brock, Ryan, and Kristen were all there. Connor and Brock just love to play together. Mom was asking the blessing, and Connor has started to repeat everything that the person praying says. Mom got tickled and almost couldn't finish the blessing. But Connor is precious when he asks the blessing.

After we finished cleaning up, Justin and I decided to take Connor hunting. Connor's Pappaw Mike built him a shooting house for Christmas. After about 1 hour Connor was burnt out and was ready to go to Mammaw Mike's house. We didn't see any deer anyway. We finished the night by eating taco salad and mini cupcakes at Justin's parents. It has been a wonderful New Year's Day. We have so much to be thankful for. 2010 was an amazing year and I pray that 2011 will be just as amazing!
