Connor's First Fishing Trip

Spring is definitely in the air here in Mantachie. It was such a beautiful Saturday, so we went fishing at Doug's house. Well, Justin and Doug fished and I pushed Connor around in the red car. He Loved It!

A few things Connor is doing now: He says, da da, pa paw, bye bye, hot, dog. He runs his boat motor, calls the indian, calls the dog, snaps. He had his last breast milk on Friday, April 3. He is growing up so much, but for this I am thankful!

Fun Day At The Campground

Yesterday was a fun day for Connor. The first thing we did was go to the creek with Justin. Behind mammaw and pappaw Buse's house is a very nice creek with a sand bar. Connor loves the water and sand. Can't wait for it to warm up some more so he can get in the water.

Next, we went to the Jamie L. Whitten in Fulton. Our cousins are here from Alabama and they are camping in tents at the campground. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for supper. This is Connors new favorite food.

I never would of thought that he would like pickles! He LOVES them!

Mammaw Sue and Pappaw Tommy came to the campground also. They had fun pushing Connor around on the little red car. This is his new favorite toy. It is his cousin, Macy's. She has almost outgrew it, so she is letting Connor have fun with it.

Connor's Baby Squirrel

Baby squirrel sleeping in the leaves

Justin's grandmother and grandfather found a baby squirrel that was all alone in their yard today. We think that its mother was killed, so the baby needs a new mommy to help it with eating. Justin called mom and asked her if she knew anyone who would want a baby squirrel. Mom, being the animal lover she is, said she would take it. She had baby squirrels and racoons when she was a little girl. We got the squirrel today and fed it milk with a baby medicine syringe. It loved the milk. Hopefully, it is going to survive. Connor kept wanting to love on it, but we were afraid he would hurt it because it is so tiny. Still do not have a name for it yet, nor do we know if it is male or female. We are just happy it is eating so well.

Whats In A Name

Connor with Cousin Sam, Mammaw Amy, and Mammaw Sue

So, I have been wanting to start a blog since Connor was born, but have only now found the time to set it up. It has been an EXTREMELY busy 10 months, to say the least. Connor has had colic since he was born, and it has taken every ounce of my energy to take care of our family. But now, by God's grace, he is coming out of his colicky stage. I am so excited to be able to keep a record here of our family as we live our lives. For my first post, I decided to explain just exactly how I decided on the blog name, Wondrous Love. I wanted to have a name that explained something of Christ and also explained something of our family. The wondrous love that Christ displays to me daily keeps me humble and allows me to have a wondrous love for my family in return. There is a song called O Wondrous Love, that was sang at the True Church Conference in 2008, and I absolutely love it. I purchased the CD that has songs that were sang at the TTC http://aitstore.org/Music-from-the-2008-True-Church-Conference-p-16900.html here. It is an awesome CD with tons of truth. If you like praise and worship music, this would be a great CD to purchase. We are at Mammaw Sues today having a yardsale. My aunt Mamie and her 5 children are here from Alabama having the sale with us. Pappaw Tommy is helping entertain Connor on the four wheeler. I made a wopping eighty dollars! Happy Saturday!
